Even if he were to serve as minister for 500 years, Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, stated on Friday that he would not be able to address every issue in the FCT.
But Wike reassured citizens that his government will do its best within the constraints of time and money.
In the Institution and Research District, he spoke at the groundbreaking of Collector Road C01, which would connect the Body of Benchers to the Nile University Area and include a bridge.
Wike asserts: “As a minister, I might be permitted to remain here for 500 years, but issues will still arise. Not every issue can be resolved by me.
“But we’ll try our best to provide our folks with what they need, given the time and resources at our disposal.
Additionally, I would like to thank the Benchers body for their unwavering support and cooperation during our time together. It’s not true, and I can guarantee you that individuals might fail because I’m a life bencher.
Wike emphasized that the road serves the interests of all users and asked citizens to help the government make sure the capital city is run properly.
“What is worthwhile is worthwhile, so everyone should help the government to ensure that the right things are done and that good outcomes are obtained,” he continued.
