Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revealed that he closely watches media reports, claiming to personally keep an eye on what people he has labeled as his “enemies” say about him.
The minister told reporters in Abuja that he watches prime-time news on major Nigerian television networks, such as Channels Television, TVC News, and Africa Independent Television (AIT).
Wike stated that he would rather keep himself informed than rely on assistants or other sources for information about the public conversation surrounding him.
He continued by saying that his habit frequently lasts late into the night since he occasionally watches broadcasts again at midnight to make sure he is completely informed before turning in for the night.
“I always monitor news, including channels, TVC news, AIT news, and more.
“I hear what my adversaries have to say about me on my own; I don’t wait for anyone to tell me.”
“You can see that I am aware of the time; even at twelve, I return to watch everything, and I make sure to watch before I go to bed.”
