Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, has retaliated against Sule Lamido, the former Jigawa State governor, for claiming that his principal had committed an illegal act by closing the Wadata Plaza Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat.
According to reports, after the FCT Administration closed the party’s headquarters due to unpaid ground rents that had been outstanding for 28 years, despite numerous notices since September 2023, Lamido accused Wike of being a disaster in the PDP and demanded his removal.
Wike is a strong supporter of the rule of law and will never put up with impunity, Olayinka responded in a succinct statement.
The former Rivers State governor is still committed to enforcing adherence to FCT laws and is not interested in getting involved in a verbal spat with Lamido, according to Wike’s assistant.
Olayinka also rejected Lamido’s complaints, casting doubt on his services to the PDP following his resignation in 2015.

Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, he declared, “does not belong to Sule Lamido’s world of lawlessness and impunity. According to him, everyone who interacts with the FCT must abide by the laws.
As a party, the PDP is all about Jigawa, and he is the party’s beginning and finish. We don’t have time to talk to someone who does that.
“What has the PDP produced in Jigawa since he stepped down as governor in 2015, aside from Sule Lamido and his kids as the party’s candidates?”
