Reports say that armed bandits attacked Kemanji village in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday, killing many people.
According to security sources who confirmed the news on Monday, the bloody attack happened around 3 a.m. and killed some soldiers.
Reports say that security forces, including the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes, fought the bandits in a fierce gun battle that lasted until 5 am.
It was reported that some soldiers died in the attack, but the full extent of the damage could not be determined at the time of this report.
Remember that armed bandits recently attacked the Woro and Nuku communities in the Kaiama Local Government Area. They killed many people, burned down homes, and took more than 100 people hostage, who are still being held.
In a different story, suspected bandits attacked Ora Ayegbaju in Obbo-Ile, Ekiti local government area on Sunday.
Three brothers died from their injuries during the attack, which happened around 10:00 PM. Others ran away to safety.
The three hurt people were named AbdulJareem Adamu, AbdulJareem Yunusa, and AbdulJareem Yusuf.
The three hurt brothers are now getting medical care at a hospital in Osi town.
