Others at the meeting included the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mao Ohabunwa and a host of other party leaders.
The meeting will also hold the presentation of Certificates of Return to the candidates that emerged from the primaries ahead of the 2027 general election.
Parallel Sessions
Meanwhile, the Kabiru Turaki-led faction of the PDP also held its own meeting at a different venue and issued Certificates of Return to candidates elected under the faction.
Turaki who presented certificates to the candidates told them that they must sign an undertaking that they will not defect from the PDP after winning the election before their names are submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The event, which took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, was attended by leaders and stakeholders of the party.
