Aminu Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State and current senator, has asked the courts not to let Nigeria be destroyed.

On Tuesday, at the national convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, Tambuwal made this request.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives said that history is keeping track of what everyone does as an individual.

He said, “Nigeria is going through very interesting times right now. Pseudo-Democrats have taken power, and they are now clearly showing themselves.”

“My appeal is not to the members of ADC right now, but to those who are living and running our institutions, especially the judiciary, which is very important to me.

“Let me remind you who are alive today of the Judge who cut short the elections on June 12, 1993. No judge or justice should let himself be used to bring down Nigeria.

“History is keeping track of what we do as individuals. Our kids and grandkids are counting on us to save this country.

“And those of you who are in privileged positions should be responsible and remember that God Almighty is watching over you wherever you write your judgment or ruling, even if there is no one else there. God Almighty will be the final judge on the Day of Judgment.”
“So watch out for people who will talk to you to try to change your mind, hurt our judicial system, hurt our country, and hurt our democracy.”
