In Sokoto State, the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has denounced former Governor Aminu Tambuwal as “politically retired.”
In Sokoto on Monday, Sadiq Achida, the party’s state chairman, launched the attack while speaking to reporters.
Tambuwal, according to Achida, had no independent political base and was empowered by political godfathers, especially Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

He believed that Tambuwal’s political future was not bright.
“A politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a collapsed state cannot be revived by any Abuja alliance, coalition, or media propaganda,” the APC chairman stated.
In 2023, Tambuwal allegedly refused to properly turn over power to his successor in order to escape responsibility for abandoning a state beset by unfinished projects, according to Achida.
