The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been accused by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of lacking a spirit of democratic sportsmanship.
This was said by PDP National Chairman Umar Damagun during a meeting with the European Union Election Observation Follow-up Mission in Abuja on Thursday.
Damagun used the conduct of the most recent elections as an illustration, emphasizing that there were still many irregularities present.
Unfortunately, the current All Progressives Congress, or APC, has not been able to match this attitude of democratic sportsmanship.
“As you have seen, there have been numerous irregularities in the recent elections, from the misuse of state resources and security institutions to the obvious suppression of voters, intimidation, vote-buying, and the intentional disruption of electoral procedures,” he stated.
