According to reports, this is predicated on the most recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) data that the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) published on Monday.

Following several months of reducing inflation, the study claims that the marginal reduction of 0.05 percentage points indicates a prolonged slowdown in price pressures at the beginning of the year.

In comparison to the same period last year, inflation decreased dramatically on a year-over-year basis. The January 2026 rate of 15.10 percent is 12.51 percentage points lower than the January 2025 rate of 27.61%.

More information later.
