In his Easter message, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to provide democracy and good government to the state’s citizens while calling for harmony and peace throughout the holy season of Easter.
Governor Fubara emphasized in a statement released in Port Harcourt on Saturday that Easter offers a special chance for healing, reconciliation, and reaffirmation of common ideals of peace and unity.
Warm Easter greetings were sent to the residents of Rivers State in the governor’s personally signed statement, “Renewed By The Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity and Good Governance.”

He emphasized the importance of Easter as a time for reinforcing common values and beliefs as well as for fostering unity and healing.
“This Easter, I extend my warmest greetings and sincere congratulations as we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“Easter is a holy time for peace and harmony. It is a season when the peace of Christ is abundantly present in our hearts, mending broken hearts, rebuilding relationships, feeding the hungry, and consoling the afflicted, Fubara wrote.

“It is a time to reaffirm our shared belief that peace shall overcome war, and that even shattered dreams can find new life in the light of the resurrection,” the governor added, emphasizing that Easter is a time to remember hope.

Fubara reaffirmed his dedication to provide excellent government in his speech, highlighting the resilience of the people of Rivers State and their right to leadership that puts their needs first.

This time of year gives us new hope that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love in Christ, not even death or hardship. We are still triumphant in Him,” the governor declared.

“I reiterate my unwavering commitment to deliver good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State,” he added, while reaffirming his commitment to enhancing governance in the state.

Support for the Agenda of President Tinubu
Governor Fubara also used the occasion to urge Rivers State residents to support President Bola Tinubu and to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.

“As we look to a better tomorrow, I call on the good people of Rivers State to continue supporting and aligning with our dear President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” he added.

In order to achieve the intended transformation for the state and the country, Fubara underlined the significance of unity and collective power.

“We must not lose sight of our combined power. When we act as one people under God, dedicated to peace, unity, and growth, we may achieve the transformation we all seek,” he said.

The governor wished a peaceful and beautiful Easter, full of love, health, and renewed vigor for the journey ahead, to the people of Rivers State and beyond, as he wrapped up his remarks.

“As we continue on our path to a better future, may the Risen Christ grant peace, love, health, and renewed vigor to every home in Rivers State and beyond. He wished everyone a happy Easter.
