The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the personal information and academic qualifications of presidential and National Assembly candidates of political parties for the 2027 General Election.
The particulars, published on the Commission’s official website, include candidates’ educational qualifications and other information contained in Form EC9 as required under the Electoral Act 2026.

The INEC said the publication was in compliance with the Revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2027 General Election and was part of the nomination papers submitted by candidates intending to contest the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to hold on January 16, 2027.
The Commission also published the particulars of vice-presidential candidates nominated by the political parties, stating it would publish the particulars of governorship and State Houses of Assembly candidates on August 29, 2026.
Form EC9 is to be published within 21 days of its receipt from political parties in terms of Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2026.
