The approval of N20,075,050,006.55 for distribution to 192,906 students at public postsecondary institutions nationwide has been announced by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund).
This information was posted on the official NELFund X page.
indicating that the payment is effective as of January 1, 2025, on Monday.
The largest portion will go to Bayero University in Kano, where 11,683 students have been approved to earn a total of N1.3 billion.
6,988 students at the University of Jos would receive N941 million, while 8,978 students at Federal University Dutsin-Ma will receive N909 million.
4,907 students at the University of Ibadan would get N746 million, while 5,451 students at Federal University Dutse will split N593 million.
The University of Lagos will give N557 million to 3,685 students, while Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto will give N578 million to 6,480 pupils.

Some schools have fewer winners than others, including as Abia State Polytechnic, which would give two students N106,300, and Gombe State Polytechnic, Bajoga, where four students will receive N122,000. Three students at Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nsugbe will receive N214,116, and seven students at Kenule Benson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic in Bori will receive N315,500.
The Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom, will divide N518,500 with 11 students, while the Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, would provide N330,000 to three pupils.
N368,400 will be given to nine students at Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Imo State, and N528,500 will be given to twelve students at Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education in Owerri.
