The blatant celebration of electoral fraud by politicians has angered former presidential contender Peter Obi.

According to reports, Peter Obi made a public announcement on Wednesday in Enugu State about his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) alliance.

Former Anambra State governor Peter Obi pledged to fight any attempt to rig the 2027 election in a legitimate and lawful manner.

In order to prevent pre-election controversies, he also advocated for the early vetting of candidates’ academic backgrounds.

“We have all witnessed those who benefited from our democracy now become accessories of our democracy through coercion or gangsterism to the opposition,” he declared.

“We will not allow this to occur; we will fight against it. Election fraud is now being publicly celebrated.

“And we are stating that we will oppose those who intend to rig elections in Nigeria in 2027 by all legal and legitimate means.”

Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, has rejected rumors that Peter Obi might run for vice president in the 2027 elections.

In a Tuesday interview with Arise News, Tanko refuted these accusations.

He claims that Obi traveled the world to become Nigeria’s president rather than to become a vice president.

He claimed he didn’t travel the world to become vice president.

“He traveled the world to acquire knowledge in order to become the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s president,” Tanko stated.
