Kenneth Okonkwo, the leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), says that if Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, leaves the coalition because the party lost the presidential ticket, he will be called a mole of President Bola Tinubu.
During an interview with Channels Television, Okonkwo reportedly said this.
When people asked Peter Obi about the rumors that he would leave the ADC coalition if he didn’t get the party’s presidential ticket,
Kenneth Okonkwo said that if Peter Obi made that choice, it would only mean that he is working for President Tinubu’s re-election.
He asked, “If he leaves, will he now be a mobile squatter?” Anyone who is running for president in ADC and sees what everyone else is going through and then leaves ADC for another party is a mobile squatter and is working for Tinubu.
“Anyone who leaves the coalition is compromised and works for Tinubu.” That person is whoever they are.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is willing to step down if Peter Obi is chosen as the ADC candidate in 2027.
Atiku said this while answering questions during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday night.
When asked directly if he would step down if Obi wins the ADC presidential primary, he said yes.

Atiku said, “Yes, I will step aside for any winner,” when asked if he would step down for Obi if the former Labour Party presidential candidate wins the ADC ticket.
