The Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee, headed by Abdul Mahmud, has affirmed the disqualification of aspirants linked to the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

It was learnt that 33 aspirants out of those screened on Saturday were cleared while 65 were disqualified.
The 65 disqualified aspirants have been identified to be loyalists of Fubara.
The appeal committee chairman told journalists on Tuesday that 19 appeals have been filed by some of the disqualified aspirants.
He said the deadline for the filing of appeals falls on Wednesday.
“The final list of cleared aspirants will be released when the date for appeals elapses,” the committee said.
