SOLEXDE AND FRIENDS Launches Initiative to Empower Youth Against Underage Smoking

SOLEXDE AND FRIENDS, a non-governmental organization, is proud to announce its mission to raise awareness about the dangers of underage smoking and promote healthy lifestyle choices among Nigerian youth.
According to recent studies, Nigeria faces a pressing issue with underage smoking, with an estimated median age of smoking initiation at 16.75 years. A 2019 study revealed alarming rates of smoking among youths aged 13-15 years, with 5.6% of males and 1.3% of females already engaging in this hazardous habit.
In response to this growing concern, SOLEXDE AND FRIENDS has launched an initiative to educate Nigerian youth about the risks and consequences of underage smoking and provide a platform for creative expression and empowerment.
