This occurs just a day after he and his deputy took the oath of office for a second term amid much fanfare and pageantry.
On March 18, 2026, the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) issued a formal circular directing all political appointees to transfer their responsibilities immediately.
Additionally, it directed impacted appointees to assign duties to Permanent Secretaries or, in their absence, the highest ranking civil servant within their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
