The National and State Assemblies, President Bola Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, traditional leaders, and religious leaders have all been urged by the Northern Christian Youth Professionals, or NCYP, to reexamine and reevaluate the appointment of four new federal institutions to Zaria alone.

In an announcement, Isaac Abrak, the group’s chairman, stated that the group’s goal is to guarantee balanced growth and equal distribution, making sure that no area in Kaduna State is left behind.

The organization expressed regret over the addition of four federal institutions to a town that already has twelve federal institutions: the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery, the Federal College of Education, the Federal Open University, and the Federal College of Legal Studies.

The Northern Christian Youth Professionals, or NCYP, called on the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to give the construction of a Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Southern Kaduna top priority. This important project will greatly improve healthcare delivery throughout the region in addition to saving many lives.

Southern Kaduna has every reason to host a Federal Medical Center, according to Abrak, who emphasized that the area includes 12 of Kaduna State’s 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs), which include portions of Zone 2 and all of Zone 3.

It has only one federal institution, the Federal School of Statistics in Manchok, although making up 52.1% of the population and 57% of the landmass of Kaduna State.

It is currently very difficult for people in Southern Kaduna who have serious medical illnesses to travel 300 kilometers or more to the University of Jos Teaching Hospital or Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika, Zaria, in order to receive better medical care.

This crucial gap will be filled by the construction of an FMC in Southern Kaduna, which will bring cutting-edge medical treatment closer to the people. Additionally, it will improve overall healthcare delivery, draw in medical personnel, and increase the effectiveness of the region’s public hospitals.

Additionally, he thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving a bill introduced by Senator Marshal Katung, who represents Kaduna South, that permits the Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia to be established in Southern Kaduna.

The move, according to the chairman, is an important step in the direction of improving education in an area renowned for having a large number of academics and teachers.
