Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has said he has always trusted President Bola Tinubu to lead.
“Even as a sitting governor on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, I have always believed in the president’s abilities,” he said.
Speaking to reporters on his visit to Tinubu, Fayose maintained that the president should be commended for his initial efforts.

“Even before he became president, I did not conceal my support for him, and I have always believed in his leadership,” he stated, referring to his time as a sitting governor and PDP governor.

As the nation’s leaders, our only option is to keep pushing him to raise his hands and to educate the people about how uncomfortable it is to be in charge of a faltering economy that is currently being stabilized.

Nigerians have hope because of the president’s decisions, he remarked.

“There is no miracle, you see, but stabilizing the economy, stabilizing the currency, and the few brave actions the president has taken, along with the accomplishments of his administration, give us all hope for the future,” he remarked.

In response to the question of whether he is trying to save the PDP, Fayose stated that he is no longer involved in frontline work.

“I am no longer on the front line. I made the small amount I could while I was governor of a state, but I am no longer in that position,” he remarked.
