Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Umar Sani, has mocked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike over his media outburst on Wednesday.

It will be recalled that Wike went on the rampage against several leading lights of the PDP like Seyi Makinde, Adolphus Wabara, Jerry Gana and Aminu Turaki.

He accused the party leaders of fraudulent conduct and challenged their moral right to run the PDP’s affairs.

Sani, however, said Wike was trying to justify the legitimacy of his faction in the party in the face of the lingering leadership crisis.

He said this on Thursday on the Arise Television Morning Show.

Wike, Sani said, took the decision to speak to Nigerians himself after the explanations by his loyalists did not get accepted by the public.

He said the FCT Minister struggled to give a clear account of the legal and political developments surrounding the PDP crisis, especially as it relates to the conflicting court judgments.

Sani said Wike jumped from citing the Federal High Court, Ibadan, Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court judgment without giving clarity on what is really happening in the party.

He said “This is a full disclosure of the whole truth and what is happening and where we are today now, Nyesom Wike’s outburst yesterday is as a result of the fact that he has sent after the Supreme Court judge, most of his lieutenants to come out and explain to Nigerians and they were not making sense to Nigerians.

And so, the big masquerade decided to come out himself yesterday to try to explain to Nigerians why his own faction of the PDP is the most legitimate and the most authentic.

“But he has tried, albeit, you know, unconvincingly, to try to explain how we came about. “He was juggling between the judgement of the Ibadan Federal High Court, the judgement of the Federal Court of Appeal in the Abuja division, and of course the Supreme Court.

“He was not in a position to clearly lay the cards on the table for Nigerians to know what is actually going on.”
