Ike reportedly stormed the Commission’s office at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Abuja, where a mild protest was staged on Monday.
The actor alleged that there were irregularities in the conduct of the primary election.
Addressing the officials during the protest, Ike said he was angry about the electoral process and insisted that he would not remain silent over.
“When the election is going on we don’t have an address. I am an aspirant, I am a Nigerian.
You’re not going to walk out with this. I am not into social media activism. “INEC will not get away with this,” he said.
Ike had earlier said he would contest the election into the House of Representatives.
The thespian in a video which has gone viral on social media revealed this, it was reported.
He said he will be contesting for Bwari/AMAC Federal Constituency in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I am contesting for the Federal House of Representatives under Bwari/AMAC Constituency in Abuja and we want to make a federal statement,” he said.
Asked what difference he would make if elected, he said, “If I’ve made you happy as Nigerians, I want to step into the real thing right now, let’s block those boys wey think say na dem get power.
“We don’t deserve to be begging. Let’s stand up, take power and reshuffle our country.
“I’m not angry with our politicians anymore; they’ve shown us clearly they don’t care about us. I am angry with you Nigerians. Go and pick up your PVCs. That’s all the noise we need right now.”
