Through his X account, security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed the information in a post.
According to the article, Nigerian Air Force jets launched the operation early on Sunday, hitting bandit locations that reconnaissance drones had located. At the same time, ground forces moved forward, demolishing motorcycles and breaking up the robbers’ stronghold.

Operation FANSAN YANMA’s intelligence showed that over 400 armed combatants, under the command of infamous kingpins, had assembled in Makakkari Forest. They targeted the local farming village of Nasarawan Burkullu.

Following a recent loss to security forces, the robbers allegedly plotted the raid to regroup and exact revenge. But they stepped into a prearranged trap.

Many of the top bandit leaders were killed before they could react, according to sources, while ground forces stopped those who attempted to escape.

The close coordination of the ground and air troops was credited with the operation’s success.

Bandit gangs and their networks of support will continue to be under pressure from Operation FANSAN YANMA.

Fear and impunity are hallmarks of banditry. As per the sources, we are demolishing both, one operation at a time.
