It was discovered that the attack, which happened at midnight on Thursday, has caused panic and dread in the neighborhood.

The officers had sought refuge in a nearby mosque, according to a source who spoke to Leadership, but the gunmen pursued them and started firing sophisticated weapons, lighting the building on fire while the officers were inside.

During the assault, the terrorists also destroyed the officers’ quarters.

The relevant authorities had not yet issued an official comment about the occurrence at the time this story was filed.

Major General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, has promised to take severe action against the Lakurawa terrorists, who have been terrorizing areas in northern Nigeria.

President Bola Tinubu recently appointed Shaibu, who made the promise in front of the Senate during his screening.

“The Army will take severe action against the new Lakurawa bandit organization. A whole-of-society approach is necessary. “We will ensure effective management of available resources, even though security is not inexpensive,” he said MPs.

In his account of his military career, the new Army chief mentioned his position as a commanding officer in Borno State, where he actively participated in counterinsurgency operations.
